We all know, there are two broad categorizations. One is the business to customers while another is business to business. When you talk about business to customers marketing, the dimensions are completely different altogether. You approach cannot be same as it would be for B2B. So, you can gauge that there are a lot of changes that marketing in B2C faces.

Marketing for B2C is not an easy task which is why brands tend to commit a lot of many mistakes which can be easily avoided. Hence, we thought of listing the B2C marketing mistakes that you should avoid no matter.

1.    Lack of social media –   When you are in B2C, you often underestimate the power of social media. Not focusing on social media is the worst thing that you can do to your business. Avoid that! Building a strong social media presence matters no matter what business are you into because social media is a crowd puller for you in B2C.

2.    Not using emails –   Do not underestimate the power of mailers. Mailers can do wonders for your business and I mean it! Use emails to talk about your business and exciting offers that you provide them that can attract them. Your clients are most likely to meet you via an email so it is best to pitch right there.

3.    Being adaptive –   It is important for your survival to be as adaptive as you can. The marketing tools are ever changing and matching pace with them is your sole responsibility. Even if you are dealing with business to customer, you must not underestimate your marketing efforts. Be adaptable as much as you can. Your business strategy should keep on evolving as the trends in marketing changes.

4.    Focusing only on lead generation –   Leads are important, agreed! But focusing only on lead generation can be draining to your business. Investing a little more in the brand presence and its image is vital. So focus on lead generation but, do not focus entirely on that. Build a brand image too.

5.    Not gathering feedbacks –   Feedbacks are important more than anything else. Each time you serve a client please ensure that you gain unbiased feedbacks from your clients. These feedbacks are crucial for you as they help in building your strategies and identifying the areas where you lack.

6.    Overdoing –   Sometimes in the quest of promoting your brand, you tend to overdo a lot many times. Avoid this. Understand what your audience posses a certain level of interest in your product hence, pushing too many emails, calls or SMS would only lead to dipping down the interest. Certainly, it will bring you to the point where your audience won’t even bother about your product anymore.

These were the 6 basic B2C marketing mistakes that you should be avoiding. After all, when you aim at the growth of your brand in the market, each step that you take should be well calculated. Researching about your client’s business and offering them something that another service provider isn’t providing is important. This sets your brand for sure.
